Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes!

My birthday was amazing this year. It’s funny, this is the first year where I actually feel the age I turned. Last year when I turned 23 I didn’t feel it at all year. I actually feel 24 this year. I don’t know if it’s because it was my golden birthday or what. Maybe it’s the fact that I have a crush on someone much much younger than me. Or I’m finally starting to grow into myself. Or I’m starting to see myself for who God sees me, or I’m in my mid twenties (almost a quarter of a century old! Holy crap!). I just don’t know..anyway my day was really special. There was a rough patch in the middle but things worked out for the better.

So here is a summary of the day since I would probably bore you with a full recap.

I spent the entire night before reminding everyone at work that my birthday was the next day. I found a way to segue in almost every conversation that my birthday was the next day. I successfully annoyed everyone (that was my plan, I’m just like a little kid that way.) Right at 12 AM my shift supervisor wrote on my wall and said happy birthday. She told me she was going to do that.

I went to sleep. I woke up at seven. Did nothing for two hours except comment back on all the HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH posts on my Facebook. I took a shower. I drank some coffee. Went to my grandmas. Went to target. Went home. My brother, my brothers girlfriend, my sister and my mom went out to dinner at one of my favorite mexican restaurants. I was forced to drink really bad tequila while the staff at the restaurant sang a birthday song to me (I wish I would have paid attention in Spanish class). By the way if you want the story on that I’ll give it to you. I went home and then my best friend came over and picked me up and we went out for frozen yogurt and talked about our boy troubles. How I’m in love with a teenager (don’t worry, I’m not stupid and I will not act on it) and she has a crush on a married man who is having marriage troubles (his wife is unstable at the moment and refuses to get help and has taken their kids away from him and served him a restraining order…long story and how bad she feels for him because he’s such a great guy. SHE WON’T ACT ON IT EITHER. We are smart girls.) We also talked about our upcoming trip to England. We walked around Von Maur and looked at all the pretty expensive things we cannot afford. Then we went to Walmart so I could see if they have any puzzles. I have recently become VERY obsessed with puzzles. Then I went home and read Mockingjay until who knows what time of night..fell asleep, and that’s that.

And that’s the story of my birthday. Please excuse my atrocious grammar and syntax.

It was a good day.
